Sweet Street Friends

Is This A Tiger Dog?

There are so many dog friends in the street in Mexico. Just like many countries in the world there are more than one class of street animals similar to the humans.

There are some that fight to survive with little interaction with humans. They are usually quite mangled and emaciated depending on scraps from the garbage or whatever they come across.

There are the ones that do interact with people but not in the way our pets do. These usually don't have much physical contact. They know that where there are humans, there is food that will be given or thrown away.

The other night we walked home on the busy street and this night there were two different dogs that allowed, and welcomed some petting from us.

For quite some time I spent stroking the head and ears of these dogs. (I didn't get photos of them because I was too busy enjoying the cuteness.) They didn't want it to stop.

The last one was hanging out by a late night convenient store where they sell dog food. I really admired her smarts. By letting humans pet you, and being extra cute, your chances of surviving are much better.

I wish more people would adopt these dogs instead of breeding chihuahuas and other special breeds, which I adore and they deserve love too, but while the special ones are being carried in a purse, the others are hungry dirty and often wounded.

Every being no matter what class, deserves peace and comfort. I wish that for all.
