Jalea de mango
Es una merienda típica en Portuguesa. Se vende en bodegas, carreteras, mercados, terminal de pasajeros y kioscos. Ingredientes 20 mangos verdes enteros con concha. 1 kilo de azúcar Preparación Se prepara Sancochando los mangos verdes enteros con concha hasta que estos se ablanden y se pone a reposar. Se pelan y se raspa la pulpa con una cuchara, se le añade el azúcar, se monta en el fogón por una hora y mientras se mueve con una paleta. Luego se quita del fuego, se coloca en una bandeja de madera, se extiende con una cuchara mojada en agua y se deja reposar. Una vez fría se corta en trozos.
