Cognitive aspects: What kind of intelligence are we on? | Logical intelligence - mathematics

Introduction

If there is any aspect that psychology studies that attracts my attention, it is the fact of being able to describe, analyze and evaluate intelligence through the way in which the human being acts in order to approach some learning.

However, the objective that I pursue in this publication is not to talk about all the types of intelligence that human beings can have, which in itself we know are many types, and it is logical to think that different types of intelligence must exist when we observe people who, although they do not have talent for something, do have it in order to be able to carry out another activity or learning.

In my particular case I think that I manage to focus on this type of intelligence, that is to say on the so called logical-mathematical intelligence, this type of quality or degree of intelligence if we want to call it that gives me an idea that it is difficult to achieve capture skills for all types of learning, for example I while I can be good to learn mathematics and to be able to impart that knowledge, I also recognize some limitations to learn and to dominate linguistic aspects like the dominion of some languages that are not Spanish.

Since I was very young, practically since I was in primary school, I began to recognize one of the weaknesses I had for handicrafts, correctly, and that is that I am a very bad executor of anything that involves doing something with my hands.

However, all those difficulties in different areas made me locate and focus on how easily my mind reacted to certain mathematical logical deductions, that's why in this post I'm going to touch on the most outstanding aspects about a particular type of intelligence: logical-mathematical intelligence.

Psychology and mind have historically come together to let us develop thinking where our abilities have made it very clear that the clearest expression of our own intelligence is the mathematical conjectures we make to correct the problems of our lives.

In order to be able to deal with and adapt a concept that is quite in accordance with this type of intelligence, I must say that logical-mathematical intelligence is the capacity that we individuals have to reason in a deductive and logical manner when faced with numerical problems and also know how to deal with all the relationships and conjugations that arise between those numbers.

Will we be able to measure in some way a generalized intelligence through this type of intelligence?

It is logical to think that through this type of intelligence we cannot measure our capacities to the full, since this type of intelligence does not directly explain our way of thinking in general, we would simply be exploring a very small part of all the abilities and mental capacities that the human being could be willing to achieve.

Conclusion

Although I believe I am in this type of intelligence, it is necessary to emphasize certain aspects, one of them is to be aware that no one is more intelligent than another human being, we simply each develop more capacities than others to adopt some type of intelligence, it would already be part of our customs which of the different types of intelligence we consider the most important.

The other thing that is quite questionable, is the fact that we do not have to limit ourselves to developing any other type of intelligence that is outside our domain, we can even reinforce more and more the type of intelligence that we think we master, finally I would dare to say that the true intelligence is in accepting that one is never sufficiently intelligent to assume that we do not need to learn new things.
