2 reasons why Conor McGregor did not lose the fight!

1 He Doubled His Net Worth

Reports are that Floyd will take home a minimum of $100 million dollars for his efforts, while Conor will earn at least $30 million. We’re aware that 100 is larger than 30, but think about this: Floyd already had over $700 million dollars when he retired in 2015, meaning he “only” increased his net worth by about 12%, while Conor came in to the fight with about $30 million dollars to his name, meaning he doubled his lifetime earnings in a single night. That sounds like a big win to us. McGregor-Mayweather-Scorecard-e1503843659809.png

2 He Officially Won The First Round

According to the official judges’ score cards (pictured above), Conor swept the first round 10-9, 10-9, 10-9. Did he win any other round? No. Was Floyd simply biding his time that round? Probably. But keep things in perspective: Conor was the better boxer in his first-ever round of boxing against one of boxing’s all-time greats. That’s like hitting a home run off of Roger Clemens in your first-ever at-bat, only to later lose the game. At that point, who really cares about the loss? We’re still thoroughly impressed.
