Greetings to all my dear readers and followers of this valuable community, continuing with my daily publications in this opportunity I bring you the new electrical blackout suffered by several states of Venezuela. The electrical problem in our country seems to have no end and this Tuesday January 18 again generated a blackout that specifically affected thirteen states including the capital city Caracas, also affected were the states of Lara, Barinas, Cojedes, Aragua, Vargas, Táchira, Mérida, Zulia, Trujillo and Falcón.

Since 2019, when in March the first blackout was generated that left Venezuela without electricity service for 5 days in some states of the country, the problem has not been solved and these electrical problems continue to occur, generating huge economic losses to the industrial sector, not to mention the thousands of electrical appliances that are damaged in homes due to the huge fluctuations that are experienced at all times. Since that first blackout, the western part of the country has suffered the most from this electrical problem that seems to have no end.

For example, the area south of Lake Maracaibo, which includes the states of Zulia, Merida, Tachira and Trujillo suffer strong fluctuations on a daily basis, specifically the municipalities of Colon, Catatumbo and Jesus Maria Semprum belonging to the state of Zulia, suffer power rationing of up to 6 hours every day, this area is a producer of milk, meat and bananas and the producers together with the agro-industry are affected by these power cuts that take place daily. The saddest thing of all is that no one from Corpoelec or any institution that has to do with this problem gives any information as to why these power cuts are being made.

All this electrical problem has brought with it other problems because these fluctuations or lows as they are also called have affected the internet service, this service is indispensable at the present time because everything related to electronic payments depends on this service, a report presented by the Committee of People Affected by the blackouts show that after the mega blackout of March 2019 there have been about 294,324 electrical failures in Venezuela. Without a doubt, our quality of life has deteriorated as a result of this situation which does not seem to have an end since there have been no signs of any significant investment to improve the electric service.
