Mercy

MERCY for me means more than pity   for someone in trouble.It is not simply  an emotion.Its an Action.It is the ability to get right into the situation of  other person's,so we can  see with their eyes,think with their minds and  feel with their hearts.Somehow it involves a moment of our hearts,as we shift our attention from our pain to the pain  of  others.

The power Mercy overcomes selfishness.The person,so moved by the need and suffering of another,reaches out in kindness and generosity.Without Mercy,there is no love,for mercy is love in action and love made concrete and present. In the world where evil is widespread,every act and experience of mercy reveal that there is power in the world stronger than evil.

For me it is true that we cannot have mercy unless we shift our attention from our pain to the  pain of  others,we should gaze from ourselves to another to understand.The mercy of God is the deepest experience of gods love. It is the strongest power against the presence of evil.

Blessed are the merciful,for they shall attain mercy(Mt 5:7).
