So the students demand the government exercise more control over guns, but don't like it when they have to comply with these rules imposed on them by an authority? Guys, you can't have it both ways!

Too bad there were no teachers around to tell them about rights and "slippery slopes" when they were demanding gun confiscation.

The students protesting citizens having second amendment rights are most likely not the same students mocking this new security theater in this way. Just because the media focuses on a few misguided children doesn't mean that all children have the same flawed point of view.

I don't know how we would prove it one way or the other, but I think you underestimate the effectiveness of the brainwashing machine they call "public education."

The begged the government to take away people's rights, they just didn't expect it to be theirs'.

"Today's lesson, class, is irony!"

This definitely is one of those "teachable moments". If only actual learning took place in the public fool system instead of indoctrination, tho. If classes on History logic and critical thinking were staples or prevalent, not only would none of this be happening because the kids would logic their way out of complying but eventually kids a logic their way out of the public fool system itself.

And it's funny and ironic that they can organize/be organized efficiently to take away gun rights, but II there actual First Amendment rights are being violated there's no way it seems that they can be organized to say coordinate everybody bringing and using their regular backpacks. Newsflash youngins there is no First Amendment without the second amendment rights. But I'mma Voluntaryist and don't really give a damn about "amendments" considering my ancestors were chattel slaves when they were written (now we just debt slaves... But slaves nonetheless) or any other statist "filth flarn filth".

Wow school has changed a ton since I went to school...and I’m only 39 years old! Great post👍🏼🍺🥓

The high school level "government" indoctrination camp I was forced into had this policy back in the mid 90's. People still got beat up & stabbed so...efective??? Mabey not so much. Did the kid who shot up the joint bring his guns or ammo in a backpack? I don't know but, I thought these kids wanted the state to keep 'em safe. This whole thing is stupid & I'm bored with it already. Can't these people all move to California to Chicago & leave the rest of us alone?

It's ironic how we are focused on the "security" of the students when education may have prevented this instance in the first place. Counseling shouldn't be viewed negatively because all parents are screw ups in one way or another. A multitude of counselors is our best bet against these tragedies in our society. Jesus once said a house divided can not stand. We are witnessing this division today.

I do not know why so much protest and because young people or parents are opposed to measures of their own security if they do not violate the rules nothing happened nor safety standards are established, it is assumed that in any country of the world there is something called education of the home that is the responsibility of the parents because the schools or teachers are channelers of knowledge the child, young has their training in the home and their environment, if their parents comply with their work there is no need to establish new safety standards, then inculcate good values to your children so you do not have to complain later. I quote Proverbs 22: 6. Intrude the child in his path and even when he is old never leave the

Isn't it IRONIC... Don't ya think?
