Run To The Forest

This is my 1st time that I participate in this contest. I usually work as a photographer but I also like games & playing the photographer is kind of my favorite one! I also like creative writing & I've been publishing travelogues mostly but also other different forms of written publications.

Let's go to the 1st shot & start the story...

When the upper photo would stand alone & without text explanation maybe the viewers would wonder what is going on there. Why the girl is dancing uplifting her skirt on the vast meadow with the herd of horses in the background?! Well, that's an intriguing situation there, isn't it?! Also, I must admit that it is a really nice color shot with this vibrant fresh green grass & forest with the same intensively vibrant blue in the sky. It is also a very nice combination of people getting together with nature without affecting its peace & perfect harmony.

But with following shot, the situation will definitely change & develop into something probably not expected. Let's find out! I was already writing a bit about it & displayed some photos as well. The shots I made few weeks ago on Saturday afternoon on the mountain Platak, Croatia during a very nice festival organized by some good people - Trk u šumu - I have posted 3 more blogs with the photos of the event:

So, I turned my back to the horses & a voila - completely different sight! A full mounted festival happening on the same place! Now, we can conclude that after all there was some disturbance of the Nature's state of perfection at least with the loud music for couple of days. There were not many people attending the fest & the concept is not to leave the trash, not to disturb the life around in any way, clean everything after & have a great, fine interaction with other guests & Nature around.

On the next shot you can see the bodypainting workshop that was held few moments later & I participated & allowed my face to be painted by the workshop leader & later I added some more touches of mine too.

At first not many attended the workshop but later after other saw the faces of few of us, many joined the fun. In the background, the fest main & only floor can be seen with all the built festival infrastructure mostly made of organic materials which were found around the place & some things brought from elsewhere.

Festivals, parties, concerts, exhibitions, fashion shows & similar events were my environment when I was younger. Nowadays I choose very carefully which events I attend cause I'm very picky & getting older. But this one was a great pick & a perfect match with my preferences!

All the shots were made with Nikon Z6 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens without the possibility of using AF, only manual. On the last photo on the bottom of this blog you can see my portrait made by Miza, one of the organizers, using my camera & I did all the editing.
