Metal On Rock

In October I had a job in the film industry as an extra Taliban. The shooting was held on island Pag, Croatia. This island is very fascinating places in Croatia cause of its special look, position & the way how people manage to live & survive there. It is the most windy island with very little arable land but plenty of fish in any direction where you set your boat course. Wine manages to grow in some parts & olives in the far North & North-West where the wind doesn't bring too much salt from the sea. Also people keep the sheep for meat & cheese. The most important industry was the saltworks which made the people rich & appreciated but also was bringing war multiple times in the past where city of Pag has been attacked by Zadar - Venice coalition to rob the salt & take the power over saltworks. Bura is the main factor to make these special living conditions forming also the look of the island. Many times before I was describing bura - it is a strong mountain wind bring cold & freshness. It can blow faster than 200 km/h & Pag lays directly under the stroke of bura. If you just walk on these rocks you can find crystallized sea salt & collect it for home use. Bura lifted up & blew away all the fertile dirt from the island - that is the main reason why it looks like this.
