CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM VENEZUELA FOR THE WORLD
La magia de la Navidad es que nos hace reflexionar sobre lo que hemos luchado, los errores cometidos, lo que hemos ganado y nos da fuerza para seguir adelante. La precariedad en que nos ha sumido la candidez política de una mayoría y el egoísmo de una minoría está llegando a su final. Dejándonos como herencia grandes lecciones: Aun no hemos aprendido todo lo necesario para ser un país completamente civilizado. Pero, el egoísmo ha comenzado a ceder, para convertirnos en ciudadanos respetuosos.
El proceso inició y es indetenible. Lo mejor que puede dar el mestizaje étnico, multicultural y social que caracteriza al venezolano, aún no ha dado sus mejores frutos. Durante la última década, nos hicimos más duros para enfrentar adversidades y al mismo tiempo más sensibles frente al dolor ajeno. También, nos hicimos más precavidos frente a los pseudopoliticos parlanchines y sin estudios. Ha comenzado a despertar el espíritu nacionalista verdadero, frente al discurso patriotero que entrega nuestro patrimonio.
Hemos descubierto que la maldad anida donde menos imaginamos y descubrimos que la realidad puede cambiar de un momento a otro, por lo que es necesario ahorrar para enfrentar las épocas de escasez. No sabíamos que éramos capaces de migrar a tierras lejanas como los europeos y los nómadas de la prehistoria. Pero, lo hicimos. Son muchos los logros alcanzados y aun cuando son intangibles. No por eso menos valiosos.
Mis estimados, lo mejor y más poderoso de sus potenciales humanos, aun duerme dentro de su cerebro. Es necesario despertarlo con la lectura, para sacar a la luz sus mejores habilidades y sentimientos, los que nos hacen apreciar mejor el verdadero valor de la amistad, la familia y el amor.
La navidad es bella porque nos hace vivir la inocencia y el candor. Nos renueva con la fascinación de vivir con la esperanza en que lo que viene es mucho mejor de lo experimentado. La navidad nos llena de inspiración duradera para alcanzar todos nuestros proyectos y sentirnos realizados.
En esta oportunidad, las privaciones y sufrimientos serán exterminados por la fortaleza espiritual de los venezolanos. En esta navidad nos llenamos de energía, de fe y de esperanza cierta, en que el mal siempre es vencido por el bien y esta vez no será diferente.
Feliz Navidad a todos los que comparten el deseo de una Venezuela mejor. A todos los que anhelan un país decente, productivo, desarrollado tecnológicamente y rebosante de siembras y alimentos por doquier. Deseo que en estas fechas, la serenidad sea tu mejor traje, tu sonrisa el mejor regalo, y la felicidad ante cualquier circunstancia tu estado natural.

The magic of Christmas is that it makes us think about what we have fought, the mistakes we have made, what we have won and gives us the strength to move forward. The precariousness in which the political naivety of a majority has engulfed us and the selfishness of a minority is coming to an end. Leaving us as a legacy great lessons: We have not yet learned everything necessary to be a completely civilized country. But, selfishness has begun to give way, to become respectful citizens.
The process started and is unstoppable. The best that the ethnic, multicultural and social miscegenation that characterizes the Venezuelan can offer, has not yet yielded its best results. During the last decade, we became harder to face adversities and at the same time more sensitive to the pain of others. Also, we became more cautious in front of the pseudo-politicians talkative and without studies. It has begun to awaken the true nationalist spirit, against the patriotic discourse that delivers our heritage.
We have discovered that evil nests where we least imagine and discover that reality can change from one moment to another, so it is necessary to save to face the times of scarcity. We did not know that we were capable of migrating to distant lands like the Europeans and the nomads of prehistory. But, we did it. There are many achievements and even when they are intangible. No less valuable for that.
My dear ones, the best and most powerful of your human potentials, still sleeps inside your brain. It is necessary to awaken him with reading, to bring to light his best abilities and feelings, which make us appreciate better the true value of friendship, family and love.
Christmas is beautiful because it makes us live innocence and candor. It renews us with the fascination of living with hope that what is coming is much better than what we experienced. Christmas fills us with lasting inspiration to achieve all our projects and feel fulfilled.
In this opportunity, the privations and sufferings will be exterminated by the spiritual strength of the Venezuelans. In this Christmas we are filled with energy, faith and certain hope, in which evil is always overcome by good and this time will not be different.
Merry Christmas to all who share the desire for a better Venezuela. To all those who yearn for a decent, productive country, developed technologically and overflowing with crops and food everywhere. I wish that in these dates, serenity is your best suit, your smile the best gift, and happiness before any circumstance your natural state.
