Bronze Fish Skeleton

in #art9 years ago (edited)

This piece was my first bronze sculpture as a professional artist. Unlike most of my work it did not include any found objects in either the wax or the final piece. It is about 2 feet long.

Very nice piece , did you soldered different pieces or the work is casted in one time? I published today a piranha i've done. It's from the same family :-)

Thanks, this casting was done in a few pieces and then I used a TIG welder to put them together.

do you cast yourself?

I do it with my dad, he built a foundry for his art work. He lives a long way away though, so I don't cast very often.

Nice to work with your father even if it's not very often! Where can i see his work?

Yeah. Google images David Crawford art and you will be able to see quite a few pieces his galleries have put pics of online.

oh yes , i've already seen some of his works on the web , horses . He is a great sculptor. You're luky :-)
