If only one thing that I’ve come to find
Its not where you're going, It’s what you leave behind
A sequence is nothing without the first step,
The first step is nothing without preceding the rest
Life is so challenging; So simply complex
Not knowing what’s happened or what’s to come next.
A story we can read only one time
A story we write each single line
Every word that we live is another endeavor
Each new day of life an untold adventure
There’s absolutely no reason to live in the past
Or look to the future as the now moves so fast
One solitary blink and you change your whole coarse
Just to lose the next moment as you fill with remorse
So many paths and so many trails
What could have been should have been; that never fails
When its finally too late to change our own ways
We see our mistakes and count the lost days
Again I must focus, living the past
Counting regrets, now never lasts
Fearing lost time like immobilization
Welcome to my thoughts; this Obscene Realization
That’s one of my fears that makes me insane
The second is called trust, weathered like rain
Everyone lies, to themselves and each other
I’m a so very scared this life is a cover
Of an obsolete dream, that’s come back to life
Haunting my conscience, it cuts like a knife
Are the words that you speak, the words that you mean
Fabricating a story that could justify your means
No matter your honesty; Your capable of lies
That’s why it’s so easy for me to cut ties.
I trust not a soul, no single one being
I know this is terrible and slightly obscene
Though you tell truth you posses all the tools
To make me believe and then look like a fool.
I guess I must settle my morale objections
And finally focus on this Irrational Acceptance
But as all things that start all things must end
