Rincon, Puerto Rico
The Story
Sometimes you just need to prop your feet up and relax. Our 2013 trip to Rincon, Puerto Rico has hands down been one of my favorite trips of all time. Probably because I enjoyed the laid back, relaxed atmosphere of the surfing community of Rincon. It's a bit of a drive to get there from San Juan, but worth its weight in gold once you arrive. We rented a home there with a lovely view of the water and it was a Christmas to be remembered! How about my family meet your family there again for Christmas next year?

woh what spectacular, if I have commented that it is a bit difficult to get from San Juan but I think all sacrifice is worth it! How great that you have been able to visit it, how lucky you are! I hope at some point to have the same opportunity as you. regards

I've never been to PR. Still a destination I'd love to go. What's it like cost wise? My family typically gives to Maui. But now that we're gonna have 2 little ones, I don't think we're gonna be able to afford that much longer 😭
It's definitely more affordable that Hawaii and I would guess a bit more rustic as well. They've recently suffered a hurricane, so it might be another year before they are somewhat recovered, but to me, it feels less commercial than the other Caribbean islands. Flights into San Juan are affordable overall as it is the Caribbean hub for almost all flights.
Yeah, I'm not sure how long it will take for them to get back on their feet. I think much of the island still doesn't have power.
I myself wouldn't move from that spot. Lovely view you got there! Minus the feet of course :D
