Shanghai Shenangins
So if you don't know me, I am currently living in China. So this post is about a trip I took to Shanghai with my buddy @cirememoh (follow him too if you like to see things about China). It was about a year ago now and we have the luxury of being able to take the bullet train here in China. It can get you places very fast for very cheap but that another topic all together. We stayed in a pretty nice hostel actually. It had a nice small pond out side. Check out the pics. A bar with a pool table that served food and coffee.
Shanghai is a great place to do some sightseeing, one of the most famous places in Nanjing road. There you will find a bunch of stores if you like shopping and a ton of restaurants. Also some people may approach you to take you over to some fake markets. And the random prostitute here and there which is kind of strange since there are families walking around with their young ones but oh well.
Through one of the fake markets we met a guy who was originally from the city that we live in (Jinan, Shandong) and we ended up becoming friends. He took us around Shanghai to some local places we would have never found on our own. More stores, restaurants and some bars. Hopefully we will go back to see our friend someday.
The famous Pudong at night. You may have seen a similar shot of this before.
We also got to check out some of the old town but not much was left because they were in the process of knocking it down. I can't exactly remember what they were building but it was probably a mall or something.
There is a lot of culture and history here. You will find many impressive temples around the city. We stumbled on a quite large one just by chance. And we even got to catch the monks coming out to do some chanting and lighting of incense. The temples were very detailed and the architecture was something else. The rooms of the temples were filled with gold statues of the Buddha. Check it out.
Good photos. following you now.
Cool thanks man. I will keep posting up more.
