Only the Hemp CBD is for medical, it could be a good cash crop for the Kingdom - the cultivation is tightly regulated. Attention is paid to cannabis strain - for research and development only. The 'war on drugs' in Thailand continues, they tackle an opium grow op in this video - farmers trying to make ends meet. It would be nice to open up cannabis cultivation to all farmers, but Thailand has no plans for that.
	"Business Report: Cannabis companies reporting earnings" (CityNews Toronto) "All about building up the business at this point" - building new facilities, keeping up with demand. They think it will take up to five years to catch up to the increasing demand. Molson-Coors has been slowly getting into the cannabis business.
"The U.N. Goes Big on Cannabis Reform | Baltimore Pushes for Social Justice | MERRY JANE NEWS" (westfesttv) U.N. weights in on cannabis - top committee of WHO has been ordered to investigate and re-schedule cannabis to schedule 1 - instead of schedule 4 (crack, heroin). They would like to see CBD taken off the schedule list. Baltimore State Attorney would like to see pardons for harmless cannabis crimes. Baltimore Police aren't on board yet and will continue arresting people. Penn State law makers have filed a bill to legalize cannabis for adult users and growers.
	"The Reality of Legal Weed and Crime Increases" (Healthcare Triage) This video questions the methodology to crime and legalization data trends. It's easy for data results to be skewed by altering what data is presented in the report. Just the facts please, no skewed data - be sure to look behind the data presentation to see what the data is actually saying about reality. Colorado is used in this skewed data case study.
"Investors Dump Mining Stocks For Cannabis In Africa |Network Africa|" (Channels Television) Capital has been moved from mining stocks to cannabis because of the better short term returns. Mining industry also has much larger operation costs and strong unions to negotiate with. A large world wide industry has been created from the recent legalization of recreational and medical use cannabis in various countries around the world.
	"Pot user numbers unchanged after legalization" (CBC News) The Brightfield Group firm originally estimated the Canada cannabis legal market to be 8 billion, but it ended up being 5 billion. This group believes the producers increasing supply had something to do with this. The medical cannabis market has been drastically stagnating over the past few years - especially in anticipation of the recreational market legalization. In a survey, 15% of Canadian cannabis smokers have no plans to purchase from the legal recreational market, 40% said they were waiting for the supply chain to improve.
"California Democrats use the ‘Laffer Curve’ to justify a cannabis tax cut" (Fox News) The Laffer Curve shows that lower tax rates can often increase the amount of taxes actually collected. California Democrats have embraced the Laffer Curve and have decided to lower cannabis taxes. Just like any business, you have to find that price sweet spot to move a much larger number of items.
