039 - Sweet Blue-Eyed Darlin'
A musical interlude - I got a Boss RC300 loopstation when my two bands broke up so I could continue gigging by going out on my own. It took a while to get the hang of, but it's getting there and it has really opened up my repertoire. And talk about creativity - I had to change up the arrangements of pretty much everything I do, but now that I've done that I can really start exploring with it. I've got lots of ideas, but need to keep the complications in check = I'm thinking of hooking up a cajon for percussion, acoustic and electric guitar, but that's getting complicated. I'm gonna keep it simple for the summer gigging season and then see if I can start building it up when I've got a few months under my belt.

I'm not sure if I can properly explain this just in text but I am going to give it a shot! When you look down at your guitar and are really engrossed in the sounds you are creating it's as if you are morphing before my eyes into a child that is so enthralled in play that there is nothing in the world that could break them from the moment they are in. It's a surreal thing to watch brother. I enjoyed this tremendously :)
Was that you looping your own voice and then harmonizing to it about mid way through the song?
Thanks man. Music really is therapy. Yeah, I record the first chorus and the loop it for the next choruses and sing harmony over it. It’s tricky but fun when it works. I do that one live and have one other with looped vox. More will come!
Nice!
Bluegrass with a scottish accent!
I know, right!? Thanks for the comment :)
