Welcome to Svolvær!
I visited Lofoten a few days ago and we stayed the night in Svolvær, a small fishing town with a population of 4,487 people. Northern Atlantic Cod fisheries, particularly during winter months, have remained one of the most important economical foundations for the town. Tourism is also an important income during the summer months.
We spent the night in an old fashioned "rorbu", it is a fishing hut on the piers that was used by fishers during the time they where working on the sea. This Place rented out the huts and in the morning we ate a really good breakfast.
We walked around to explore the town and take some pictures

There was a local artist having a atelier here. He had many good paintings inspired by the the nature around here

This must be a fishermans heaven! I bought some hooks for by brother, I hope he will catch something on them

Amazing pictures. Small towns have their ways you just wanna live there after all the busy life of metropolitan cities. I love to retire some day in any of the one of such sort. Thank you for sharing this post. Keep posting your travels.
