The Pitter-Patter (A 'Loneliness' Themed Poem)
The raindrop in the storm
Lost in the terrifying fall
One of many yet alone
Though it happens to them all
They do not reach out
To comfort others falling
Each is lost to their panic
And cannot hear the calling
Alone they fall together
Voices lost in the crowd
One cloud now scattered
Racing towards the ground
This is a poem I wrote a while ago for a previous round of @terrycraft 's poetry contest, with the theme loneliness. It isn't the one I entered, but this one stayed in my mind, so I dug it out to share. Hope you enjoy.
