My Thoughts on Randowhale
Love him or hate him, @randowhale is a pillar of the Steemit community and does provide a service that has plenty of demand.

For a while, I used @randowhale on my own posts, but I no longer do that. Instead, I've been shuffling my spare SBD into LTC and other cryptos. This post isn't about that, though.
When I use @randowhale nowadays, I do it to show appreciation for other peoples' posts. Since my own upvote isn't worth $#!*, I figure giving someone else a randowhale upvote is a nice way to tip them if other whales haven't seen their post (which is most likely the case). As a minnow, I feel as though I have no power, but so badly want to pay it forward when I see overlooked excellence on here.
@randowhale and other pay for votes bots do have their use. My earnings are low so I need them to boost my post. This is the way I can see it, the earnings for my post are not only for me but also the curators(they earn 25%). So I am rewarding those who curate for me as well. What is your opinion on this matter?

use it on myself lol.. for .50 it's now worth it. I am shifting into other crypto but they are not performing well.. ohwell

Looking through his posts and what he does for the steemit community. If yuo say that its worth it for that price than I think I might use him for one of my posts in the future.
I do enjoy randowhale and i have paid it forward to my son and another friend. Paying it forward is a nice thought though, and there are other choices like discordia, upgoater, and buildawhale where you can also customize a smaller amount, which is a nice touch as well. peace!
Vote bots are a quick, dirty, simple and bad solution to a legitimate problem for new minnows. We can't get discovered and value is more tightly coupled with vote power and follower count than good content.
It'd be great if the system as a whole could evolve

I’ve done my best to stop using services where I have to pay for them.
I did for a while as well it just didn’t feel right. As far as using them on others I get the same feeling. I just been more into the organic growing for a while now.
That’s great there are options out their for people who want use them to pay for the promotion.
