ACHIEVEMENT 2: BASIC SECURITIES ON STEEM BY@CAJAZI
My dear community, i am glad to have completed my introduction post and was verified. Is my pleasure to move forward to my achievement 2, and that is what i have presented below.
Have you retrieved your keys?
Yes i have retrieved them the moment my account was created, They are as follow,
Posting key
Active key
Memo key
Master key
Owners key
Do you know how these keys function and their restrictions?
Yes
- posting keys: this key can be use for posting, voting, and commenting. And it has a limited set of permission, and it not able to be used for monetary actions, that means, no one can lose money, if someone else is able to get access to this key.
2)active key: this key is very important because it has sensitive monetary - related actions, such as transferring and exchanging tokens,
So is very very important not to use it in any app you didn't trust, because if someone get access to this key, he can take your tokens, so is important to keep it safe.
3)owners key: the owners key is your private key the most important key in this steemit, because with this key you can change other
keys. So the best thing to do with this key is to store it offline.
memo key: this is only use to encrypt and decrypt private massages that are sent through the blockchain,
While this can be a powerful feature one day , but for now is not commonly used.Master key is the first key that was generated when my account is being created. With it, I was able to retrieve all other keys. As the name implies, it is the master of all keys. I can use it to recover my other keys in the event of hack or loss
How do you plan to keep your master key
I plan to keep them offline, at a safe place where no one can have access to it accept me.
do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes I know how to transfer my steem token to another user
Simply log in to my wallet, head over to my liquid steem balance, click on the drop down arrow besides steem, then select transfer
Do you know how to power up your steem?
Yes, I know how to power up my steem. I will log in to my wallet, then click on the arrow besides steem, then click on powerup. On the box that will come out, I will input the amount to power up.
