Wholesale Demonitization, Now at youtube!

Hey, Steemians!

Now, youtube has taken to wholesale demonitization on a new scale.

As you probably already know, they can 'demonietize' a video, meaning it recieves fewer or less paying ads, meaning the creator gets rewarded less because it isn't 'family-friendly' for example. This is fair enough if it is the only way to keep advertisers on the platform, if they know their ads are on quality content :). Sure, this might be the only way to deal with that, but this is a new level. And anyways, as I demonstrated with the quality content, it still isn't great, just family-friendly.

They are now COMPLETELY demonitizing channels, to the point where they can't earn revenue from youtube, even from support or super chats, which don't rely on advertisers, so it seems that either youtube are taking the lazy way out for channels that commonly get demonietized or some employees must not like certain creators and want to get them off the platform, so this is a good way, because if creators can't earn, then they'll have to get a job and slow/stop making content or move away from youtube.

Also, there's a nice typo in there for extra professionalism!

Youtube doesn't like your content so goodbye

At the end of the day it's their platform and it soon may be replaced by better alternatives such as dtube or vimm.tv, but who knows. Only time will tell.
