Graphs From: BBC Bitesize
Equations of Motion:
S = Displacement / Distance
U = Initial Speed
V = Final Speed
A = Acceleration
T = Time
- v = u + at
- s = ut + 1⁄2at2
- v2= u2 + 2as
- s= (u+v)/2×t
Example:
A car is traveling down a road at 10ms-1 and accelerates at 2ms-2 for 7 seconds, how far has it traveled in this time?
S = ut + 1⁄2at2
S = 10×7+1⁄2×2×72
S = 70+49
S = 119 Metres
