Death
I could still remember when my professor in Comparative Philosophy asked the class about what questions do we still ask to ourselves, I gave “suicide” as an answer. I will not be talking about suicide here, though the question of “Why do people commit suicide?” which I am hoping to salvage a philosophical answer, yet has not left my cognizance. I would be talking about death instead as one of the surest results of suicide aside from a failure attempt of the act that ultimately sends the person to the hospital or to a psychiatric ward. Because eventually, the person who commits suicide knows that death awaits. If death gives anxiety to a person, then why people still commit suicide to face death, this not merely about facing death presumably, but must have been a horrible reality that people are becoming more anxious about life that they rather gamble and succumb to the reality consists only of assumptions and irresolute claims.

Indeed, a very pressing issue that really leads to the question of how to recognize the face of a person who plans to commit suicide.

Thank you. Trying to raise an awareness that the unknown is sometimes a not so good abyss to explore especially when this unknown entails leaving this physical reality which can be the surest thing for now.
For these type of people, death is their answer. They won't care about the travel but their destination. The Philosophical standpoint concerned is indeed deep and into the abyss. Life and death still exudes mystery.
I could not agree more than this. A very true story, but an ultimate fiasco happening in the consciousness that the thought of claiming an answer left colossal questions to those who are left behind.
