Integrity is everything

Standing in line at bank. Elderly women infront of me. Shes dressed so elegantly. She must be in her 80s or 90s. I see her lean on the banister. Then the line moves a bit, she got caught between the ribbon, so she scooted up to the front one to rest her arm on that. She turns around and looks at me, I lean in to compliment her blouse. She says with a smile that its so comfortable and when she looks in her closet they are all the same color! The window opens yet the gentlemen in front defers his position to our elder, she gratefuly obliges and makes her way with her cane to the front. A couple of minutes pass, I decide to lean over and tell him that was a great thing he did. He said thank you, that he did not turn and fully engage with me he was not gloating, I could tell in his voice he knew he did the right thing though was grateful his ethics were acknowledged by another. He was finally called over to a line and I was eventually called over to take the place of the sweet elderly woman. She turned to greet me and said her goodbyes I said have a happy and a healthy new year and she said the same and then the bank teller put a smile on her face and asked me if I'm having a great day. It's in the now I decide to focus on blessings and cultivate greatness because it feels so much better
