Here is a rather odd and lesser known 9/11 story, about a sculptor named Michael Rolando Richards. In 1999, Mr. Richards created a life sized metal sculpture called "Tar Baby vs. St. Sebastian". He used himself as the model for the sculpture, which depicted him standing with his arms at his side, while multiple aircraft crash into his upper body.

This alone might not seem that interesting, but that might change when you realize that Mr. Richards was one of the artists that was taking part in an art program that was being ran by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Center out of the upper floors of the North Tower (WTC1), where the artists were allowed to live, and on the morning of 9/11, he was in his flat working on a 2nd sculpture that was inspired by the first one, but was to incorporate his new surroundings into the project, basically incorporating the trade center towers into his new sculpture. Well needless to say Mr. Richards was unable to finish his 2nd sculpture, which was said to depict planes crashing into the world trade center, because while working on it that morning, by freak "coincidence", he was struck by a real plane instead, due to being in the exact area of the tower that was impacted by the 1st plane that day. Talk about irony...

So what do you think, pretty weird stuff right? Please share your comments below, and as always, make sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already!
