What is a dance Ranup Lampuan? Ranup (Aceh Language) or betel, Lam (Aceh Language) dalam (Indonesia Language), Puan (Aceh language) place of betel of gold or silver, then in the Indonesian language called Betel and Puan.
This dance was created by Aceh artists, his name was the late Yuslizar in 1959.

At the time of the kingdom of Aceh past women became servants to serve food or serve betel to the king and guests. From that habit, so the woman who invited to dance this dance. Dancers are usually selected beautiful women.

In the People's Life of Aceh :

In everyday life the Acehnese are open with immigrants, when there are guests who pass in front of their house would surely say with a soft language "piyoh" (Aceh language) or stop by. If a visitor enters his house will be a guest of honor will be fed and drunk.

Return to this dance, This dance is performed while welcoming local and foreign guests at the celebration of the tradition and state events. This dance shows how the daily habits of the people of Aceh.
