Cannabis capsule making day

I'm just about out of my night time "cannacaps" so that was my chore for today. I prepped for this a couple days in advance by buying my cannabis concentrates. My shop had a sale going on and I got a good deal on some great shatter slabs and grams. I weighed out about 10 grams of shatter a mix of some Banana Kush which I found hanging out in the back of the fridge. and some of the Purple Urkle just bought. I added that to 87 grams of coconut oil and baked that in the oven at 225 degrees F. for about an hour and a half until the bubbles had just about stopped being produced (indicating the concentrate had fully decarboxylated).

I set the oil aside to let it cool and I worked on prepping the capsule filling machine, it can make 100 caps at a time and that works ok. I kinda wished I had one that would do 200 at a time, that would be better, but I digress.
After the oil cooled off to about 115 degrees F, I added the CBD isolate which starts out as a white powder but ends up being clear once it's dissolved in the other oils

Now the oil is only about 103 degrees F. and I can safely add the delicate terpenes, I added only about 10 micro drops, one per gram of concentrate. I used the Purple Urkle Terps and it gave a real nice aroma and will be perfect for bed time.
Once the oil cooled down to about 93 degrees F. I could now start filling my gel caps and after place the capsule machine in the fridge to cool the oil to solid.

I find a Freezer storage bag works fine and takes up less space than putting them in Tupperware, which I used to do. I can also freely write on the bag and not worry because I'll be throwing it away once this batch of pills is finished. I always put them in fresh bags.

This batch will last me somewhere between 2 and 3 months (depending on if I have to take one or two). This project takes a lot out of me which is why I only want to do it every couple of months. That said, this medicine has gotten me off of Vicodin and Percocet. For this I will always be grateful. I hope this helps someone else out there looking for alternative medicines for pain.
