The Lost God is a prime example of inconsistency inside and outside of the book. Well, how do you go through a solid volume with a chic dust jacket and a catchy blurb? Under the super, under the archetype of the necromancer there is stylization, under stylization there are stylish drawings made by the author himself. At least the Lost Gods are capable of drawing attention to themselves.

This is a story about a young man named Chet. Just out of prison, he's ready to change his life to get back his lover and the child he's been missing. But when Chet dies, things go completely wrong. And fate gives him the task of going to hell to find something. Ahead Chet will feature chases, battles, murders, betrayals, gods, and even meeting his own relative. Rome is full of chapters, Brom does not give the reader a break from the brutal actions and general piles of death. Believe me, the author is merciless towards his characters. Must have been read by Martin.

In fact, all the advantages of the book are shown above, activities, illustrations and themes. Still, fantasy literature dealing with the afterlife, especially the gods, is scarce. There are more negative aspects. Brom's language does not tolerate criticism, it is boring, simple. Stylistically, the text of "Gods" is also bad, short chapters, very weak description component. You expect more from an author-artist. But Brom is bad even for a writer. You should always think of descriptive constructs.

What is the use of how the author draws the same Scarlet Lady or Kashaola with the words when looking at the picture and realizing that the text and the illustration are two completely different? Finally, another creeping negative, the book is empty. There is no such global idea. Are you saying something about revenge? Read about better revenge than Abercrombie or Martin. You want about the gods? There is a Gaiman or a narrower Zelazny hype. Brom is clearly lost when compared to fantasy masters here.

I would not have read this book if it was in electronic form. I made an exception because I got an attractive look and I got volume. I'm not giving up on Brom at all, he'll soon have an interesting Krampus. And on the basis of two books it will be possible to judge the author as a whole. Now Brom is a promising writer who is not quite lacking in style and skill. However, it is required, it is a fact.
