The Bent Willow And The Hanging Pompoms...

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Skies are another thing that I love to shoot and work with.
On every landscape image I capture, even if there's a subject that apparently seems to be the main one, you can be sure that I was focusing my attention and composition having the sky and clouds in mind. I often frame the shot and then patiently wait until a certain cloud reaches the right spot before pressing the shutter button.

On the next image I had two main subjects in mind.
The usual fluffy clouds and the Mistletoe hanging on the trees. To do that I had to wait for the right moment, until I got a white cloud behind those trees to contrast with those funny bushes, that to me look like cheerleaders pompoms.
A very unusual sight for a southern European as myself.

As a bonus, the sun decided to play along and gift me with something too, like if he was trying to say:
"Hey dude, who's the real star around here?"

This second one was shot very close by. Both these images were captured in Poland.
It's a dirt road that we often follow by foot when going for a walk in the nearest forest, either to pick some nice and fatty mushrooms or just to stretch our legs and give some use to the cameras.

This old and bent willow tree catches my eye every single time and gets photographed very often for that reason.

The winter season was on, so the poor thing was completely naked.
Pity there was no snow to prove it because it was freezing cold, literally.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

I love the sky and trees combination. They look so good against each other.
