Steemit account has 192 milion $ on it.
If you check the wallet from @steemit you will notice incredible high amounts over there.
- 500 000 steem
- 70 000 000+ vested steem
- 18 000 000 + savings in steem
Just wondering if anyone knows what this account is used for and what would happen to steemprice if decision is made to cash it out. What again is the total supply of steem? Can imagen this is a huge part of it. Just curious.
I believe this is the account they use to fund the operation of Steemit. These periodically sell parts of their stake to keep the system operating.
If they cashed out all at once then the price of Steem would collapse as there is not yet enough demand in the marketplace for volumes such as this.
This is the same for most publicly traded companies, so it's not necessarily something to be worried about.

It is like a seed money because like a normal share equity, the major shareholder would own a major percentage of the share and sell the rest to the market, the same goes to steemit. And like above has mentioned, it is quite illiquid if you hold that many of share as market price would react if you try to unload.
