Promoting steemit on facebook

I started my first advertisementcampaigns on facebook to promote steemit.

WHY FACEBOOK

I had several campaigns before on other websites (you can watch the results in my blog).
The thing with facebook is that you can target a specific group of people based on region, age and interesses.
This way you know for sure that the people you reach are from high quality for your campaign.
I decided to start making a facebookpage for steemit on my initiative. I will keep posting screenshots and other information over there. Without advertising we will still have the organic views over there and build a community around it.

Adcampaigns

I had few experience with advertising on facebook but was and am dedicated to find out how usefull this can be :)

I started with making a post wich I credited some money to promote.
In my first try I added also a screenshot of my wallet. However after a few hours of promoting I got the message that my ad wasnt running anymore because there was to much text in my image?!

I am not sure why this is a problem however without image i did'nt find it very attractive (I deleted the image).

So I made another post with image. However on this post i reached 247 people:

Because I wanted a slower spread over 24 hours but I failed to complete this one because of 'to many text in my image' I decided to make a new post and put 40€ to reach more people in a few hours time because 1 ad runs minimum 1 day. It doesnt really matter how long it takes, but it is more interesting how many people you reach.

So I targeted the United states and Europe like you can see in the picture below. I did this because there are alot bigger potential investors in those regions.

Another target I made was the interest in 'bitcoin, investments, blogging and cryptocurrency'.

From the results I decided that approx 15% of the people reached also took action.
My result so far with this post was that I reached 538 people of wich 68 given a like :)

So in total I already reached 247 + 538 = 785 people.
I concluded that facebook is pretty good to reach out to the world for decent prices.
I Decided to advertise more in the comming weeks on facebook to bring steemit out and I soon might start an advertisementcampaign for utopian.io aswell on facebook since you can do very good targetting because we want the right people to know about Utopian.
