Street Tacos Colorado College Style.
If you ever find yourself in Colorado Springs and craving some good street tacos, this place is the joint!
LAAU's taco shop is tucked away and actually kind of hard to find if you dont know it's there but some of the best places are this way. You cant see it from the street because its tucked away on the campus of Colorado College.
The prices are pretty fair here because most of their business comes from college students, although this isn't a typical university setting or cost of education. These shrimp tacos were about 11.50 for the three and I think they are great. They serve all the different meats for the street tacos and several different types of salsa combinations. Everything is under 12 bucks so it's right in line with what you might expect to pay for lunch I guess. Parking is close and they have several dedicated spots right in front of the restaurant.
The place does have some seating but it's not the most comfortable if you want to stay for a little while. The chairs are all metal stools which were just fine for me and I imagine most college kids but older people may have a problem here.
The food is great, I have been here about 10 times and find it very consistent everytime.

It is good to hear about this place. One major thing that ditatst in a shop is the price of the food. Guess the price is okay also

Oh! Don't you just love it when you get so many shrimp in your tacos that you cannot count them? They actually have a pretty extensive menu for a taco place, in my opinion. I don't think I know where that one is... Has it been there for a long time? I was in Colorado Springs about a year ago... give or take and I cannot place it.
I think we need to throw a could more jolly's on there! And scrape that corn off mine. Seriously. Dude. Shrimp and corn? I know. I know. I won't knock it until I try it.
At 3/$12 I wouldn't be able to buy those ingredients! Yummy delicious!

They have cold cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon waiting for you for only $2.25. They won’t even let you lick a bottle of beer in Europe for that price. Oh snap!
