Hier gehts weiter mit dem Abenteuer Auf, gen Tibet

Um fünf Uhr dreissig weckt uns das fidele Lachen der Kinder. Raureif bedeckt den Bodenbewuchs. Zeit für einen heissen Tee, um der Morgenkälte beim Warten auf die Sonne zu trotzen.

*Die Milch in den Tee kann frischer kaum sein. Aus dem warmen Euter direkt gekühlt von der Kälte des Morgens. Das Photo ist nach dem Ausflug aufgenommen, als die Sonne schon schien *

Der Dunst sitzt nebelartig in den Tälern fest. Kein Wölkchen trübt den Himmel. Die höchsten Bergspitzen bereits beschienen und die Vögel mit ihrem Gesang künden den Tag an.

Eine heisse Nudelsuppe muss fürs Erste reichen, denn wir wollen ja den Aussichtspunkt Taruche erreichen, bevor mit Eintreffen der Sonnenstrahlen der Nebel und Dunst steigt und sich erste Wolken bilden.

Und so heisst es ein letztes Mal, noch bevor die Sonne aufsteigt: Auf, gen Tibet!

Ohne Gepäck und die Vorgabe des Tempos durch den Neffen, kommen wir zügig voran.

Durch dichte Rhododendron- und lichte Tannenwälder.E

Eine weitere Alm hoch,

und durch den letzten Wald, der ausschliesslich aus kleinwüchsigen, verknorrten, mit Moos bewachsenen Thujen (auch Lebensbäume genannt) besteht und die nun scheinende Sonne das Harz angenehm duften lässt. Ein Duftbad freihaus!

Wird sich der Ausflug auf 3800 Meter lohnen?

Mehr im nächsten Teil, wenn es wieder heisst: Auf, gen Tibet!

What amazes me is that it's the women out doing all sort of work which is keeping their economy stable.. I hardly saw any men doing any work during my short tour at Nepal..it was also the same.. the ratio of girls with school uniform was much larger than boys.. I wonder if they have more women in the population or Nepalese men are just useless for their economy

my point of view is that the women keep the family togheter, wich is the most important thing in a country with poor state social services. the mens work often abroad in the citys or other countrys. the birth rate is nearly equal between mal and female. if you have the possibility to send one of your children to a private school, it would be a son. not a doughter. private schools ar often selected by good reputation and the price, so often the boys have to leave the home during the week. the girls mostly go to a school nearby, to support the parents with houskeeping.
in my oppinion it isn't the man in general, who doesn't practiciate a part to the econommy. it's mostly the old structures of the kast (and its resutant coruption), that gives no chance for millions of mens to participate at the economy.

NEAT Image of a Tree in 4th picture [I've never seen one that looks like it ] - have lived among REDWOOD TREES, which is kinda cool .. but this is a unique setting in the Mtns !

it's a kind of the national tree of nepal: rhododendron. the himalayas are home to the bigest diversity of rhododendron in the world and they grow even in a altitude of 3500 meters (11500 feet) above sea level. not as huge as redwoods, but the rhododendron-jungles ar eyecatchers in the spring season while the blossom period:

Thanks - it is so cool to be ABLE to speak across the Nations, about such INTERESTING Stuff !

Certainly, I didn't know that rhododendrons were so very prevalant in the nepal/Himalayas . They are STRIKING (as I see in your provided pic ).

I have followed the adventures in the Himalayan Mtns - even bought Jon Krakeur's book on the subject ♦♦ So .. I've Long been interested in the doings there !

SAg mal, wie lange warst du denn insgesamt auf dieser Tour unterwegs, Zivil Wochen? Echt beeindruckend immer wieder wie die Natur mit den Pflanzen wechseln...

beim 4. tag binn ich mit der erzählung nun. die ganze reise dauerte noch 9 tage bei den schwiegereltern und 2 tage rückreise nach kathmandu länger. also 15 tage.
die flora ist wirklich speziel in nepal von 40 bis 8800m gibt es kaum planzen die hier nicht wachsen könnten. ob tropisch oder nahe am permafrost, aber auch einzelne wüstentäler mit kaum niederschlag übers jahr sind anzutreffen.
