Female photographer joining the Steemit ranks!

Hello Steemit. 

I am a Minneapolis based photographer. I am fascinated by people and I tell their stories with images. I shoot weddings, bands, and marketing for businesses. 

  I have been taking photos of people and things that interest me since I was six years old. I always had a disposable camera in my bag and when the film was out, I would drop it off and buy a new camera. My passion carried on into my teens and when I was 17 I realized I could do this as a career.

Recently I decided to make the leap and give up my 9-5 to dedicate my time to my art. When I made that decision, I sat down with @kommienezuspadt to talk about some ideas. He then introduced me to Steemit. I am interested and excited to see how Steemit fits into my freelance world. I am going to use it as a way to write about my shoots, the struggles I had to over come, and how I got the shot. I am very nervous to give up my safety net job and have just myself to find work. The past month and a half I have had run into a few issues to overcome. It is a struggle to get people to take me seriously (especially as a woman) and ask people to pay me what I am worth. It is a big journey that I am very excited to take.
