Yea stand your ground. If Paypal made a small claim at county court then they would loose to a document proving the item was delivered, it doesnt matter what Paypal think when there is an injustice.
I dont no, someone made a County Court claim against me on money claim olnine and i just got all my documents in good order and listed them in my defence, the accuser backed off and did not persue the claim, there is just no getting past factual evidence, a document from Royal Mail proving the item was delivered would not be disputed in court, its a fact, its documented and its evidence.
What i would expect paypal to do is get a solicitor to write a threatening letter, then they will employ or sell on to a debt collection agency that has no power whatsoever except scary threatening language and be a pain in the ass for a few years. In the past ive played them at their own game and sent invoices to solicitors and companys harasing me, every time they write just write back and charge them £25, Abbey National actually paid me! its all a noncence, it either worries you or you have fun with it.
Keep original documents, very important, i kept a very old original loan agreement document and a company made a claim against me many many years later, because i had the original and it was missing a section on my rights to cancel the agreement among other things so they backed off very quickly, if i didnt have the document they would have won.
