Changes in Business environment can accelerate new ways of companies' actions.
This is a default way and the key for survival not even for growth.
Let's have a few examples for our discussion.

Postal services
The era of the internet in which we have almost stopped sending letters on one hand, but on the other hand, the ability and culture of online shopping, has led the postal companies to recalculate their routes and make organizational changes that support the new activity of a much less amounts of envelopes and letters and lots of packages situation.
Paper industry
is another close example, is from the paper industry. Growth in e-commerce sector as mentioned above besides e-books and less small mail to send has raised the demand for cardboard instead of regular paper i.e. In 2016, Amazon’s annual sales were over USD 136 billion, with cardboard packaging being the highly preferred material. Recyclability along with strong & versatile appearance has facilitate industry growth.
Sustainability
It became a real value for a large audience and this fact affect more and more companies to offer greener products and services
A 2015 Cone Communications/Ebiquity Global CSR Study finds that global consumers feel a personal accountability to address social and environmental issues and look to companies as partners in progress. 9-in-10 consumers expect companies to do more than make a profit, but also operate responsibly to address social and environmental issues. 84% of consumers globally say they seek out responsible products whenever possible, though 81 percent cite availability of these products as the largest barrier to not purchasing more.
The changes are not affecting only the products or the services but also the functions in the organization.
A sales man became more a consultant that advises the potential knowledgeable customer, since data is easily available for everybody to learn on any subject. This instead of a selling way that was used in the past. Sometimes changes can make jobs even irrelevant.

At the bottom line, if a company wants to endure it shouldn't focus only on producing goods and services.
First, even if it wasn't discussed here but could be related to the business close environment also is the important subject that the organization is a community of human beings that are the key success for the company.
Secondly, it is more than required to monitor all the time the rest of hall of the environment of its business and react ASAP to change like adopting new better technologies soon as they appear.
As a personal opiunion, I would even say to any company, not only react but
be proactive !
This is one of the major success for a business to stay relevant.
How?
The answer is not so simple and could be a new subject for another post.
