Hello guys. I will be discussing a project with its major concept of integrating logistics with blockchain technology and IoT sensors making it more efficient. The name of the project is smart containers. Before we move into the whole project discussion, let's briefly look into the need for this project as a solution.

Looking into logistics, according to shells, "it is responsible for providing strategic and operational management of logistical operations by supporting the world wide businesses in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner". This may include planning, preparation and execution of various logistical activities in support of project development, exploration, appraisal, production or associated activities.

All well said, Logistics has a lot of shortcoming which brings about a need for a more efficient way. Clearance of shipping documents is one big problem in logistics which leads to other problems such as delay in time of delivery and also efficiency. Also real time tracking of containers is also another big problem in logistics as the need to track the progress of transported goods is quite paramount. On this note i will be discussing smart container with its blockbusting concept to disrupt the logistics industry.

Smart containers
Smart Containers is simply a temperature sensitive self autonomous container shipping platform based on blockchain and IoT infrastructure which are the principal technology. It combines blockchain technology and IoT sensors into the logistics ecoystem making logistics more efficient and sustainable. The company behind smart container technology is a swiss-based company with 5 years working experience in logistics.

Now lets look at a typical example of how smart containers work. As defined about smart containers being a temperture sensitive self autonomous container, will be using a piece of technology which will regulate and monitor the temperature based on the goods and products being transported. FOOD GUARDIANS - this is responsible for the movement of food items from their point of manufacturing to the point of final use, and this facilitates fresher and qualitative food globally, which help enhance healthy living. additionally, it is cost effective and applies blockchain technology to create the high potential business to customers break through and secure food safety.

Smart container has simply proven to be a great solution to the shortcomings in logistic. Asides the entire concept, the advantages as discussed are easy tracking of products, security of goods, records of information on every movement via the blockchain, and so many more. Smart container and its team are working towards and are on its way to achieving this big step in logistics.
