Spice it Up to Slim Down

I really like to eat spicy things. I regularly add different types of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to many different types of food in order to kick the heat into the next level.

To me, adding heat enhances the flavor and makes the taste more satisfying. It is certainly true that it masks the flavor of what you are eating, so you do lose the ability to discern delicate flavors or appreciate little things in dishes.

A co-worker was telling me that eating hot sauce can help you lose weight or stay thin as well. I was skeptical, so of course, I googled it. She was right!!

Apparently there are a couple schools of thought – the first is that the spiciness increases your metabolism, causing you to burn more calories naturally. The second is that a bioactive compound in chili peppers, named Capsaicin, helps reduce appetite and helps aid in the use of fat as fuel.

There you have it, go ahead and add some hot sauce to your meals today – it is good for you!

I love many different types of hot sauce, but my go-to is Tapatio. It is a versatile hot sauce with more kick than most, although I do like Franks (especially their Buffalo hot sauce) as well as Cholula. I am not the biggest fan of Tabasco, but do like it on some things like Pizza. I usually add red pepper flakes to most pasta-type dishes as well.

i mostly use sriracha or gojuchang (however its spelled)

I am a huge hot sauce lover. Since I was young it has been the hotter the better. I have dabbled in some pretty crazy sauces over the years. Had a bad experience once with Dave's Insanity Sauce that saw an entire pot of chilli ruined with only 5 drops of the stuff. lol. Right now I have several hot sauces at home including Voodoo and a Diablo that I picked up at a local craft show. My go to these days though is Sriracha. I put that @#$@ on everything!! lol

my favorite thing is very simple: a soft tortilla, a piece of cheese, and tapatio. best snack ever. i tried it with cholula and it's just not the same. tapatio does have that kick that i like too.

I like sauce but only branded these days main problem unregister companies making sauce that is hygiene condition is very bad due during eating create many problems like food poising vomting and many other due to always use branded and keep clean health is important.

It is a dilemma I think many say it is good others who do not, say that spicy is bad for health but in my opinion and what I have talked with people who know the subject they say it is good for health to eat just a little Spicy also heard that it is a bit harmful to the kidneys or something like that is that I did not know I had this advantage I eat it very little but if the spicy is good

I got to hear something about the spicy that was good for the stomach, digestion and those things that have to do with the stomach, I like but not much just a drop in what I'm eating because the spicy packaging is strong, now I usually put a little hot pepper on the food and it's delicious, you're right, the spicy gives a different flavor to the food

This is good as I always say every day we learn something new, I did not know that the spicy had that property is good to know, I could start to consume it a little more but you are right when you say that it covers a bit the taste of the foods you have to know in what time to eat it clear that I am not so fanatical of the spicy, at home my mom prepares a natural one is very good I like them more when they are natural @brian.rrr

I like to eat spices aswell.

But i got a different story with it.
so my taste feeling is a little bit fked up.
i don't feel spices and sour things really well.
and that makes my body want to feel spice and feel the sour tastes.
so i need to eat really spicy food just to get that feeling.
And i really enjoy eating spicy stuff.
I add spices to all my foods, even the most ridicolous ones.
Yes
I literally eat Ice cream with spices sometimes.

I also like spicy food @brian.rrr. Spicy food and I have a close relationship an obsessive one, in fact. If it’s spicy, I want it. I want to sweat and shake and go half blind from the searing pain.
