Nascar First Back

Hi Friends,

Sports fans across the globe have been anxious for things to get back underway. The coronavirus will be around for some time, so figuring out what could work for each sport has been new territory for everyone.

Here in the US, it looks like Nascar will be the first sport back in action! Races begin in a week and half, and they are introducing a condensed schedule at race track that are close to most team’s headquarters. The condensed schedule will mean multiple races at the same track, so they are planning to do day and night races to break it up. The events will be shown on national TV, but there will be no crowd, so we shall see what that is like. Here is the upcoming schedule from nascar.com:

I will be watching some and perhaps it will give us a sneak peak in to post coronavirus sports and how things will work. Golf is also coming back in early June with no crowds so that is something to look forward to as well.
