Monterey - Show Us Your California

This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @socalsteemit where we share an aspect of our California.

We recently went on a road trip up the California coast and one of the places we stayed was Monterey, California.

Monterey is in the Central Coast area of California and is a famous peninsula that holds a number of prestigious golf courses, the biggest of which is Pebble Beach. The weather is nearly always perfect, though can be cooler as it almost island-like.

We had a lunch at the Monterey Peninsula golf club, which overlooked a couple of holes. We also took the time to drive 17 mile road, which is a popular drive along the coast. We also went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium while we were in town, and took advantage of some local eateries and ice cream locations. We stayed near the beach, so we had a good time enjoyed the hotel pool and the beach.
