Weekend Recap
We had a great weekend, and I hope my steemit friends did as well!
My wife and I got a date night in on Friday night, as we headed over to the Los Angeles County Fair while grandma hung out with the kids. We were there from 8:30pm until Midnight and had a great time walking around, eating great food, looking at the animals and checking out the numerous vendors. I will have to make a separate post about the food, as it would take too long in this weekend recap! One cool exhibit this year was a Route 66 walk where it featured all the states from the “mother road”. Here are a couple of pictures from the fair:
My wife’s birthday was on Saturday, so we spent the day celebrating her... after we let her sleep in! We went to the mall together in the morning and ate lunch their, and then came home for naps for the kids. In the afternoon, some family members came over and we celebrated her by eating some fried chicken dinner and cheesecake for dessert... delicious! We ended by playing some Rummikub, which is a tile matching game. Good times!
On Sunday, we took it easy and got a few things done around the house, including a little decorating for fall and Halloween. I snuck in a little football and golf watching. Some neighbors invited us over to go swimming so we did that in the evening as well.
All in all, a great weekend but a bummer that is already over!

The best thing about weekends is that you can spend all the time with your family at home or at any other place that make all the group happy. There should be a statue in every city of the person who invented weekends...
That sounds really eventful weekend, my congratulation to your wife's birthday. I bet she enjoyed that dinner out, but on other hand the kids might have had a nice evening with Grandma, my son always was happy when he was allowed to stay with Oma in German Grandma)for a long evening, because some of the weekend there were other cousins too.
The exhibition Route 66 looks quite interesting, I remember the movies about that route and a lot of stories too.
It is nice to spend time with decoration for holidays, Halloween is one the most loved by children, especially to go and scare people around and of course to collect sweeties.
