Activities with Baby: 4 Months

If you are like me, you are wondering where the heck time is going so fast! The infant stage is gone and I have a baby boy who grows and develops every day! It is definitely starting to get even more fun watching this little human become more aware and learn new things.

With that said, here are some activities to do with your

4 Month Old

• Balloons, Baby loves balloons! They can now grab on and hold and love that they can make noises and squeeze it. Even try putting it between their feet while they are laying down to play with and kick
• Activity mat, if you haven’t gotten one yet, now is the time! Baby will love to lay on back and grab at all the toys
• Musical toys are a big hit starting this month! They love to hear it and watch lights (if it has them) and figure out how to make the sound go themselves
• If your baby is like mine, his favorite activity is just to put everything in his mouth. Give him safe toys, burp rag, a teething mitt, etc. and he will be occupied for a while (always supervise baby)
• Toys in the bath, now that baby’s grip and hand-eye coordination is better, put floating toys in the bath and watch him grab them (and probably put it straight in his mouth!)
• Play music/instruments for baby
• Tickle monster, my baby just started reacting and laughing when getting tickled
• Play peek-a-boo with baby
• Neck control is good now and I like to use the Fisher Price Sit-Me-Up in front of the mirror
• Let baby practice rolling over during tummy time from back to front and back again
