"In Their Foosteps"

Back in February, I was eating a local Italian restaurant when I couldn't help but notice this unique picture hanging on the restroom wall. It didn't say who originally took this old and nostalgic picture, but it caused me to think about a few important things as I gazed upon it.

I found it to be such an intriguing image because It drew me to consider the influence we can have on children and how they look up to us when they're young.

I remember when I took psychology in college that the professor taught about "imprinting", which is when the younger picks up the traits of the older without even realizing it.

This custom is most commonly observed in the animal kingdom but I believe it applies amongst all species and walks of life, as well.

We should always strive be a positive example to the little ones in our lives, because it's clearly evident that we play a bigger role and impact upon than we may ever know.

The little boy in the photograph is a mirror image of the older men who walked ahead of him and his actions make it evident. It's definitely something to think about.
