Mr. Princeton and Mr. Storm

in #photography9 years ago

One day this past summer I was out doing some scouting on Mount Princeton (14, 197 ft.) to prepare for an attempt at the Nolan's 14 route.

When I was done scouting for the day, I hopped into my usually trusty Subie and took CR 162 east toward Nathrop.

Me and my Subie drove right into this lovely piece of landscape art:

The storm was heading west, straight at my camera, straight for the mountain I'd just been banging around all day. And it seemed to get more and more upset as it approached poor Mr. Princeton.

Here's how Mr. Princeton and Mr. Storm were getting along after I turned north on 285 toward Buena Vista:

(Princeton's behind all that angry gray stuff.)

At this point you're probably thinking to yourself, "What about the hail? It hailed, didn't it? I want to see a picture of the hail."

^^ Behold the hail.
