Milo Yiannopoulos and The God Complex
I have always found it interesting when people question my lack of faith because I in fact grew up in a somewhat religious household. I believe in things greater than myself, but I don't believe in the labels and complete mayhem religion causes a good majority of people to create. I was mostly inspired to write this post up because of my coinciding feelings about a man named Milo Yiannopoulos.
I spend hours sometimes watching him debate and unravel people much less intelligent than he, but there is still nothing more disappointing when a man who begs for a debate is finally conquered... but can't realize it. Milo is a Catholic, and at one of his guest speaking appearances an atheist student asked him how he can be so grounded and logical while also being a practicing Catholic. In Catholocism it is well known that being homesexual (which Milo) is frowned upon and even defined by their faith as 'instrinsically evil'.
A man who's mother was born Jewish makes him Jewish by that faith, but Milo elected to proclaim himself Catholic and to each their own... it just doesn't make sense that he practices something which persecutes his people, especially when his livelihood is speaking out again nations of Islam who believe in a few parallel principles. In the end, I believe Milo does have a God complex because he relates to the poticially incorrect soul in all of us. He is a conservative right wing Trump supporter who happens to be a strict Catholic and a gay man.... he may be the most confused of us all, but that doesn't make him wrong.
