To those who are just starting out: it’s do able to get follows with hard work. Begging folllow4follow doesn’t work. Buying upvotes doesn’t work. Copy and pasting threads from Reddit or posts from clickhole?
#My secret to getting followers? 3 things:
- Posting #original-content
- Especially early on: commenting your ass off: Real comments. Not that shitty great post @mthrshp or nice, I’ll follow you @brains1ck! Will you follow me back? spam crap.
- Bringing people to the platform. Sure new people don’t always have a lot of vested steem (SP) but they consistently should be growing in acct worth as steem heads to the moon soon.

Be a part of something Join discord and other steemit communities like steem poker league, minnowsupport or whale shares.
Verify your account with a picture like this after your introduction post. When I️joined it wasn’t as necessary but the influx of bots and spammers lately make it more necessary

Looks like you're doing really good with the followers. I am trying to balance all of these things. It's just taking far more time than I thought for even getting 100 followers. I guess slow and steady is my way I guess.

A huge tip I have been giving people is to make meaningful comments, especially to those in the 'hot' or 'active' category, because those posts have a high chance of making the front page of trending.
To reach these just go to steemit.com/hot/ or steemit.com/active/, as you can filter by hot, but not by active without the URL
So official all you need is a whistle.
