ET' MARRIAGE

Saturday's are for weddings , a popular slang in this part of Africa. Weddings are really nice, LIKE REALLY NICE!. The colours, the food, the fashion, the couple etc. We put in so much into weddings and little in the marriage. No wonder the rate of divorce is increasing.

A friend gave me some tips on 'Before you say I do'
°Love: This is the bedrock of the other factors. Love should be felt, seen , made known. Without love everything is pointless
°Emotional Temperance: After the wooing and everything . You guys are now courting, it is neccesary to study your spouse, how he/she handles issues, don't wait till you get into the marriage , know basic things like how he/she reacts (when angry, when disturbed about an issue, when broke etc) cause all this things matters. 'Never ignore red light ' He said.

°Spiritual Temperance: You both are hoping to get a future together and becoming one, so you need to know that which He believes and Follow. If he/she believes in paying of tithes, going for conventions, midnight prayers etc.

°Household duties: I know of men who have sworn with their lives never to enter the kitchen to do anything , 'brother issoryt' . Element of surprise spices up things, for the sake of love loosen up.
You need to know if your partner believes in the use of housemaids and the rest, all these needs to be ironed out before 'I DO'

°Money: Oh! I need to balance very well on my chair to talk on this. A wise man said ' Love without money will soon get cold' , it's just like putting it into the fridge. The both parties have to be prepared for this, I said 'THE BOTH' parties should be prepared for this. There should be working sources of income and also a savings structure.
