With everything in life​ to improve​, you must practice to obtain your goal. Whether​ it is​ cooking, writing, music, photography, unless you are Neo in The Matrix, then all you have to do is ask Tank to upload the new skill set into​ your brain.

I have been reading up on how to properly use off-camera​ flash​. Something that I once avoided using at all costs, I​ have recently found a new facet​ of photography to fall in love with. Why did I avoid using flash you ask? (Well you didn't really ask, but just play along) because when you use an off-camera​ flash, and the image looks like "you used a flash" basically translates to, you're doing something​ wrong. So I decided to put some of the knowledge to work and snapped off this shot last night. I used a black backdrop and an off-camera​ flash to create​ this in my office. The office lights were on however, and had zero impact on the​ image.

In case​ some of you are unaware,​ I have been running​ photography contests on Steemit and then on Whaleshares since January 2018. It has been quite challenging to come up with weekly unique photography​ themes on​ a regular basis.

I created this post​ last night for myself​ to see how well it would be received and how much support I would get from the community​​. A ​community that I have given so much to over the last year and a bit.​ I am looking forward to seeing the results. Stay tuned for more delicious moments captured by yours truly @boyerobert
