2 Minutes with the Farmer: Training Your Children!!!
Today on 2 Minutes with the Farmer we are talking about the responsibility of training your children. I watched a great video from @papa-pepper titled "You're Lucky Your Kids Obey". This really got me thinking. I would recommend everyone check @papa-pepper video out. I am a firm believer that it is my responsibility as a father to train and equip my children. It is not the school systems job or even a sunday school teachers job but mine as a parent. Hope this video is encouraging and gets everyone thinking.

I watched that video of his before this one and I agree with you both! Seems like I am hearing more and more people who follow Yah turn and home school their children and are also turning back to the land. Do you feel that Yah was preparing you when you look back even before you knew His name was Yah?

I agree whole heartedly. I think people that are willing to buck the society norms are a lot more likely to follow all of Yah’s Ways. Yes as I look back on my life I can see just how much Yahweh was preparing me. How about you?
I totally can see His handy work. From a church of 40 to 200 to leading worship of 200 down to 20 while starting a church to then finding the Sabbath and being alone for a while to then find a local congregation, which has been a big blessing!
This would be a great conversation to have in person! I love to hear stories of how God brought them to the point they are at!

Yes you did just "jump" in...haha! How have you been? Have not seen you around in a while!
Basically I went from a church of 200 to starting a church of around 20. The pastor at the church of 200 had sin that he wanted to ignore and not deal with so a group of us decided we had enough and left. When we left we really didn't intend on starting our own church but it worked out that way in the end. Again as I said before, it is a conversation to have in person!
Yes, I know. There has been a lot going on around here to keep us busy!
Oh ok, I see what you mean. That’s too bad to hear about the pastor. Hopefully one day he will change his ways. I’m sure it would be an interesting story to hear in person! Most stories are!

My wife and I just had out 4th child less than a month after moving out of the city we were both raised in and into the country on a little more than 2 acres. God has put homesteading and homeschooling on our hearts for quite some time, and while we've been homeschooling for years now, the homesteading is really a dream come true, now that He has finally brought us to the land we believe He has set aside for us. It's so awesome to meet other like-minded individuals! Be richly blessed in your endeavors!

This is something my husband and I are working on. We've been lax parents for the last 4 years and now with baby #4 on the way, it's given us a kick in the rear to get this house in order.
The easy part is knowing what needs to be done. The hard part is figuring out effective ways of accomplishing those.
Neither one of us had parents that were intentional in their parenting. So it really feels like we're starting from scratch. We were those kids that were handed to the school system, handed to the church system, and that's all the teaching we needed.
I will not lie to you it is a lot of work and effort but the rewards are great. YHWH Word is the best place to start. Will be praying for you and your husband;)
