2 Minutes with the Farmer: DIY Barn Beam Bench!!!
Today on 2 Minutes with the Farmer we are going to try and turn and old barn beam into a nice 4ft bench. I have never worked with a beam this big before so we will see how it turns out. I really enjoy DIY projects. If you would have asked me a year a go if I would be making my own furniture I would have laughed at you. You never know what you can do until you give it a try. I hope videos like this get you motivated to look around and find DIY projects you can do for yourself or to make alittle extra money.

Holy moly how much does that thing weigh anyways?? That's a bench to sit on? I think it would handle any weight. lol..how old do you estimate that thing is?
It weighs a good amount. Not sure how old the beam was but it was all worked by hand. Yes it is for sitting;)
Industructable too. Are you going to sell it? I bet it's least a hundred and twenty years old.

You're very welcome! :D Things are going very well here, we had more sunshine than rain today, that's always nice. :D Now we just need a couple of days in a row of sunshine and mild temperatures to dry up the mucky mess over by the barn and we'll be golden. :D
